Through the Bible: ActsSample
Your Story
And he said, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard."
Acts 22:14-15 (NIV)
Today’s verses read like a gripping novel filled with extraordinary characters, surprises, conflict, tension and suspense.
Early in Acts 22, the story unfolded with Paul’s account and Jesus’ intervention which led to his redemption on his way to Damascus. It was a powerful testimony of his transformation. His first-hand experience of salvation and God’s calling led to his life-long mission of touching and saving lives.
Similarly, we have the opportunity to share our salvation experience in our testimony, the story of how we came to be redeemed by God through our faith in Christ.
Your salvation story is personal and unique. Your testimony of how you became a Christian, the personal details of how you came to Christ and how He saved you matters.
God uses our story to relate to people because we share the victory that Christ has given us over the struggles we have endured.
Remember, each story is special and points to the power of God for salvation.
Your story, His majesty.
Prayer
Abba Father, may our story be a testimony of Your power and love in our lives. May the redemptive work of Christ touch lives and our testimonies change lives. We want to be Your witness to bring You glory forever and ever, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
About this Plan
This book answers the question; ‘What’s next after believing in Jesus?’ Continuing the Gospel of Luke, Acts narrates the birth and development of the early church, and how the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to spread the Gospel. Although it ends abruptly with Paul’s imprisonment in Rome, it leaves room for readers to extend the chapters, by following the footsteps of the early church with our remaining time on earth.
