Who qualifies for eternal life?
Jesus paid for the sins of every person—even those who are heading toward hell. 1 John 2:2
However, not everyone comes to Him for salvation and forgiveness.
You don’t deserve it
All humans have sinned. Romans 3:23 God hates sin. He doesn’t want it to be part of His creation and therefore punishes it with eternal death (hell). Romans 6:23
You can’t earn it
Eternal life in heaven is a gift of God. You can’t earn it with good works. You can only receive it through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9
His ultimate sacrifice for all
God was prepared to accept the innocent blood of Someone who never sinned as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. Jesus was willing to come from heaven to earth to die for our sins. John 10:17-18 & Galatians 1:3-4
Bring your sin to Him
No sin is too big or too much for God’s grace. Joel 2:13 He forgives everything completely—as long as you are prepared to turn away from sin and follow Jesus. 1 John 1:9 & Acts 3:19
Become His child forever
God wants to adopt you as His child. Ephesians 1:5 All you have to do is to receive His Son, Jesus Christ, and give Him control over your life. It’s not enough to pray the right words without meaning it from your heart. You have to sincerely:
Believe in Jesus Christ.
Acts 16:31
Confess your sins.
1 John 1:9
Leave your sins behind.
Isaiah 55:7
Receive Jesus as your Savior.
John 1:12

Prayer of Life
Lord, I know You are the only true God. Jesus, thank You for paying for my sins with Your life on the cross. I am sorry about all my sins. Please forgive me. Come into my heart; I give You control of my life. I receive You as my God and Savior. Thank You that I am now Your child and have everlasting life—in Jesus’s name, amen!
