An Overflowing Awe

Our experiences matter. Sometimes, God shows us something special or important, and we MUST share it with other people! Read this True Story from one of our TeenStreet Community members and imagine yourself in her shoes:

I remember the morning as if it were yesterday. My family and I had been camping at our favourite campsite down by the river and I had woken up very early in the morning. Quietly, I put on my runners, zipped up my hoodie, and began to walk to the outhouse. The campsite was nearly deserted and those campers that were there were still fast asleep in their units. It was just me and God in that moment. As I walked silently, I prayed. I prayed with thankfulness that it wasn’t super freezing that morning and that our air mattress retained its air through the night. I prayed that I wouldn’t cross paths with a bear (or there would no longer be a need for an outhouse). And as I stilled my thoughts, I felt the nudging in my spirit to look up. My feet stopped moving and my breath caught as the sun began to spill through the morning fog and glimmer on the river. I saw creation slowly awaken before me. Overwhelmingly, I felt – no, I knew that this moment, the moment right in front of my eyes, was just for me. It was a gift from God.
