What are You Holding Back?

Have you ever played the children's game where you pick a flower and pull the petals off one by one to determine if your crush "loves" you? “He loves me; he loves me not; he loves me; he loves me not”... and the petals of your daisy gather below until you land on the joyful “he loves me”. If only understanding love were that easy. Too many times, our interpretation of love is shadowed by the imperfect and broken earthly examples we have. We are often left believing that our worthiness of being loved depends on our actions or the words we say.

That’s not how love works with God. He loves you simply because He loves you. No strings attached. It doesn’t matter what you do – He can’t love you anymore than He already does. And it doesn’t matter what you’ve done – He won’t love you any less. It’s why He already paid the price, knowing you were going to need forgiveness. You just need to ask for it.
