Fasting and Prayer: 21-Day Challenge

DAY 3 OF 21

FOLLOW ALONG WITH OUR AUDIO VERSION OF TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL

A NEW LIFE

READ

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”—2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

REFLECT

The expression “in Christ” or “in Him” appears 180 times in the New Testament and describes the new identity God has given us. Christ has made you and given you all of this by His blood. Do a Google search for the complete list of every “In Christ” passage, read through them, and allow these words to begin washing away labels and false identities you carry. In your quiet time, meditate on how these truths can change how you think, act, and live.

PRAY

Father, today I thank You for who You are and what You’ve done. I thank You for the Son who made a way for me to know You fully. I thank You for the Spirit who lives in me and reveals Your truth and will. I thank You for giving me a new identity to embrace. I thank You that through Your Word, I can be reminded daily of this identity I’ve been given in Christ. Amen.

FOR THE FAMILY

DISCUSS

  1. Have you ever gotten something new that replaced something old? What made that new thing good?
  2. What does it mean that Jesus made you a new creation, and how can you live differently because of this?

PRAY

Father, today I thank You for who You are and what You’ve done. I thank You for Jesus’ sacrifice, which allowed us to become new creations! We’re so grateful You gave us a new identity as Your children. I pray that through Your Word, we can be reminded daily of this identity in Christ. Amen.

Day 2Day 4

About this Plan

Fasting and Prayer: 21-Day Challenge

Take a 21-day journey of prayer and fasting with us. Why a fast? Because in it, we have this amazing opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and know Him more deeply as we seek freedom, breakthrough, and guidance! In this plan, we'll have the opportunity to read Scripture and a devotional, meditate on a reflective prompt, and pray.
