Fasting and Prayer: 21-Day Challenge

DAY 5 OF 21

FOLLOW ALONG WITH OUR AUDIO VERSION OF TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL

A LIFE OF PEACE

READ

“And through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross.”—Colossians 1:20 (NLT)

REFLECT

Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection allow us to be reconciled to God and experience a relationship with Him. Even though we live in a world where we experience difficulty, we can experience peace because of Jesus. Where is a place where you feel at peace? Visit that location (whether it be the beach, a park, the mountains, or your home), reflect on or write down the areas in your life that need peace today, and remind yourself of Jesus’ gift of peace.

PRAY

Jesus, thank You for coming down to earth to bring us peace! Thank You for Your sacrifice! There are things in my life that feel stressful and chaotic. Today, help me remember Your peace and experience it in a new way despite whatever is happening around me. Amen.

FOR THE FAMILY

DISCUSS

  1. Jesus came to bring us peace! What does this mean? How does His peace show up in our lives?
  2. How can we share the peace Jesus has given us with other people?

PRAY

Jesus, thank You for coming down to earth to bring us peace! Thank You for Your sacrifice! Sometimes, life feels stressful and busy. Today, help me remember Your peace and walk in it. I want to keep my heart focused on You to share this peace with the people around me. Amen.

Day 4Day 6

About this Plan

Fasting and Prayer: 21-Day Challenge

Take a 21-day journey of prayer and fasting with us. Why a fast? Because in it, we have this amazing opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and know Him more deeply as we seek freedom, breakthrough, and guidance! In this plan, we'll have the opportunity to read Scripture and a devotional, meditate on a reflective prompt, and pray.
