The Bible tells us that God has a plan for each of our lives, a plan that would prosper us and not harm us, a plan that gives us hope for the future. Whether you feel like you’ve got your future planned out or you feel uncertain and worried about what’s to come, God knows what He’s put inside of us all and He delights in walking through life with us, revealing His plans to us over time!
The real question is, are you willing to walk with God in what He has in store for you?
Maybe over the last few days of this plan, God has highlighted passions to you or skills that He wants to use for good works, or perhaps you've been reminded of the beauty of yourself as God's creation and you want to journey to really accept that truth. As amazing as these revelations are, you might be feeling quite confused, scared, or even tired thinking about what the next step is.
The great thing about God is that He's never in a rush. With God, one day is like a thousand years, so He's always got enough time to show us more about Himself and more about who we are. The more we spend time with God, reading His Word and inviting Him into our thoughts and our actions, the more clarity and peace we’ll have over where He’s leading us. And to make matters even better, we have The Holy Spirit with us at all times, giving us insight into God’s will and helping us along the way.
Remember, you’re not doing this alone, and though things may not always be easy, when you’re walking with God, you’re in the safest place.
Prayer: God, thank you for creating me, knowing me fully, and loving me deeply. Lord, help me to break down the barriers and fears that stand in the way of me committing fully to walking with you and give me the strength to say yes to you every day in Jesus’ name.
Q: Are there any friends, youth leaders, mentors or family members who you can talk to about any of the things you’ve been challenged in over the last few days?
Q: What practical things can you do to help you be intentional about your walk with God?
