As a child, did you ever draw a picture and feel really proud of it? To everyone else, it may have just looked like squiggles and lines, but to you, everything made sense and it was your perfect work of art. That was your workmanship and in that same way, we are all God’s workmanship!

God has planned and crafted each of us as unique works of art. God didn’t accidentally throw us together, He delighted in creating the intricate details of our personalities, our physical features, our talents, and even our laugh! King David in the Bible says it best by writing that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made!”. And to make matters even better, out of all of God’s creation, God made us in His own image. That means that each of us is not only made by God, but we all reflect a part of His beauty to the world.

Think of an artist like Banksy- when you see his work, you know it was made by him, even though no two pieces of work are the same. You can see his signature style in each piece of work, showing a part of who he is, and God has put His signature on our lives.

As you go about your day today, remember that you were CREATED by a God who looks at you with pride.

Prayer: I praise you, God, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made! Thank you for creating me with love and intentionality. Lord, help me to truly see myself the way that you see me and to walk in the confident truth that you look at me and feel proud in Jesus’ name.
