Through the Bible: EzekielSample
God is Holy
And I will not hide my face anymore from them, when I pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord God.
Ezekiel 39:29 (ESV)
The exile of the Israelites was never because God could not save His people, but rather to show that God is holy.
Because of Israel’s sin of unfaithfulness, God had to deal with their transgression and hid His face from them. In these chapters, Ezekiel’s prophecy of God’s intervention to protect Israel and the defeat of Gog will be a display of His power, glory and holiness to reveal who He is – Yahweh. "I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel” (39:7).
God pledged His Spirit to be with us. No longer will He hide His face as He looks upon our sins through the atonement of the Blood of Christ. God’s purpose in redemption, in salvation, and in judgment, is to bring restoration through repentance, that His people may be cleansed with pure heart to enter into a new covenantal relationship with Him. To worship and love Him in Spirit and in truth.
Prayer
Thank You, Father God, for Your mercy endures forever, that You would never cast us from Your presence. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us by the power of Your Spirit. Sanctify us and make us a holy people in Christ for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
By the river Chebar, Ezekiel prophesied both judgement and hope to the exiles of Judah, who were just removed from the Promised Land. Although the people cried out, “Our bones are dried up and our hope is lost,” Ezekiel reassured them that God would always provide a way to restore His people. Punishment is grueling, but sometimes it is meant to bring us back to repentance and humility before God.
