The Bible has two parts. We call the first part the Old Testament, but Jesus called it “Scripture” or “The Law and the Prophets.”
The second part is the New Testament. It shows what Jesus’ life was like and how to follow Him. Jesus didn’t have the New Testament when He lived on earth. It wasn’t written yet. But Jesus did have Scripture. Jesus read Scripture and thought about it. He talked and prayed about it. Jesus used Scripture to share hope with people and fight evil. You can learn from the Bible and use it the same way Jesus did!
