This “harvest of blessing” Paul is talking about isn’t about finding $20 on the sidewalk after you hold the door open for someone. It is about working through challenging things, because we know they’re the right things. Don’t grow tired of seeking peace when there is conflict. Don’t grow tired of speaking up for justice. Don’t give up on your faith when you see hypocrisy. The blessing we reap isn’t some materialistic thing like winning a new car. It is knowing that our faith in God in growing. The blessing is the lesson of persevering through the hard things, because we know they’re the right things.
Today, pray about how you can learn to do the right thing, even when it’s difficult, knowing it will grow your faith.

About this Plan

We know that anything of value probably has a counterfeit version out there. The same is true for our faith. Maybe copying the behaviors of other believers was a great place to start your faith journey, but how can we move beyond copying Christians to following Jesus? How do we make our faith our own? The difference between a counterfeit faith and an authentic faith is growth and heart change.
