CounterfeitSample

If we pay attention long enough, we’ll see that there are people in need all around us. That may feel overwhelming—like what could we possibly do to help all the people who need help in the world? But while we can’t do everything, this letter from Paul to the church in Rome is a reminder that we can do something. Being willing and ready to help those we can is what matters most. It might be giving money, time, help, or encouragement to others. No matter what being generous looks like for us, giving challenges our faith to grow from counterfeit to real.
Today, think of a way you can show up for someone else, and create a plan to do it this week.

About this Plan

We know that anything of value probably has a counterfeit version out there. The same is true for our faith. Maybe copying the behaviors of other believers was a great place to start your faith journey, but how can we move beyond copying Christians to following Jesus? How do we make our faith our own? The difference between a counterfeit faith and an authentic faith is growth and heart change.
