Different: A Great Thing to BeSample
God Gives Us Friends
Scoot closer in and sit next to me,
While I tell you the story of my friend Macy.
Devotion
Friendship is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. Our friends help us laugh, learn new things, and feel better when we’re sad. God created us to need friends. He knows that having and being a good friend is one of the best parts of life!
The Bible tells us that when we have a friend, we have someone to pick us up when we fall down (Ecclesiastes 4:10). Isn’t God good to give us what we need?
Questions
What are some of your favorite things to do with your friends? Do you like to do different things with different friends? Maybe you really like to build things with one of your friends and really like to play games with another friend. Why do you think you enjoy doing different things with different people?
Prayer
God, thank you for giving us friends. Thank you for all the ways they show us more of You! Amen.
Activity
Write a letter to a friend and tell that person three things you like about him or her or tell them three things you like to do together!
