Bible Explorer for the Young (Jeremiah - Part 2)

DAY 5 OF 14

So That You Understand

Jeremiah 30:24

The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of His heart. In days to come you will understand this.

When you misbehave, your parents will tell you off to ensure that you do not do it again in the future. Do you know that, when your parents tell you off or scold you, it hurts their heart as much as you feel sad being scolded? But they have to do it anyway as this is one of the ways for you to grow up well and avoid any troubles in the future. You may not understand now but eventually, you will understand and will be thankful to your parents.

God’s response to sin is like a parent’s response to a misbehaving child. God loves us more than any earthly parent loves a child. Sins separate us from God and God loves us so much that He will not let us stay separated from Him.

This is why when we misbehave, instead of leaving us in the lurch, God will come, correct and discipline us so that we can repent and be protected from troubles. You’ll understand that all the corrections and disciplines are for your own good.

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for the lessons I have learned in the past due to my misbehaviour. Thank You for Your grace is sufficient for all my weaknesses. Amen.
