Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample
We may be hungry or thirsty today – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We may be feeling the “heat” of unemployment, financial distress, familial stress, depression, loneliness, societal ostracism, or spiritual doubt. We may be weary and burdened, searching for some respite and hope. And here is what our Lord is saying to us today, He is with us. He will “shepherd”, guide, protect, lead, and accompany us on this journey. He does not plan on leaving us to muddle through somehow. Rather He actively guides us, even in these days of uncertainty. And He is leading us to a specific place, a place of respite, restoration, and renewal. The fountains of living water ensure we will never be thirsty or tired. They promise rejuvenation for disillusioned souls. And ultimately, God promises to wipe away every tear. That encompasses every tear shed in our lifetime, reminding us that every heartache, every fear, every anxious thought that has led to bitter, frightened tears is being recorded and God will comfort us for each instance. What a consolation we have to hold on to today!
Pray for:
• God’s comforting presence enfold us today.
• The assurance of His promise of guidance and peace to lift our spirits.
• The strength to share this same comfort with those around us who are struggling.
