90 Days to Wholeness: A Porn Addiction Recovery Devotional for WomenSample
Today we're going to talk about fences and walls. As you step back into the area that belongs to you, what does good responsibility look like?
In our addictions, we more than likely constructed walls in our lives. Because of the sin that has consumed us internally, we've been so afraid that the bad will get out and we will be exposed, we construct walls to keep that from happening. The problem with our walls is that it a) keeps anything good from entering in and b) isolates us so we feel even more alone.
The good thing about fences is they establish what our responsibility is and what belongs to us. But the other good thing about fences is that they have gates. Fences and gates can keep the bad things out, but they can also be opened to let the good things in.
What is the first step you need to take to break down the wall(s) you've built up around yourself? What types of good things do you need in your life by building a fence or a gate? What boundaries do you need to help keep the bad things out of your life?
