Working from God’s Rest
Lord, please teach me to value your presence and seek it wholeheartedly.
True rest and fruitful work are found only in God’s presence. When Cain murders his brother, he is expelled from God’s presence. His sin is a barrier between him and God. This impacts both his work and his rest. His labour is fruitless and he becomes a restless wanderer.

Sabbath rest is essential to our identity as God’s people: a gift to refresh us and equip us for good work. But many of us find it hard to do. This prayer journey will help you explore the reasons for restlessness, God’s gift of rest, and how your work – in your job, your home, or your street – can flow from that place of rest and connection with Him.
