Almighty God, ruler of heaven and earth, I worship you.
On Day 4 we pondered the question: Lord, what would you have me know? Isaiah’s answer throughout this chapter is: know who God is! He is the creator – the one who formed the heavens and the earth; He is enthroned – ruling over this world’s leaders; He is powerful; He is wisdom, needing no-one to counsel Him; He is tireless. And this God, our God, gives strength to the weary and power to the weak. He is the source of our renewal.
For reflection: What helps you to continually remember who God is?

Sabbath rest is essential to our identity as God’s people: a gift to refresh us and equip us for good work. But many of us find it hard to do. This prayer journey will help you explore the reasons for restlessness, God’s gift of rest, and how your work – in your job, your home, or your street – can flow from that place of rest and connection with Him.
