DAY 8 OF 23

Never Stop Learning

Proverbs 12:1a

Whoever loves discipline loves to learn...

Discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules, using punishment to correct disobedience. Learning is gaining knowledge through study or experience. Learning and discipline usually go hand in hand.

Being disciplined means submitting to the person who is in charge of teaching you, for example your teachers, your parents, your grandparents, your Sunday school teachers or even your big brother or sister.

Being disciplined also means you are willing to be corrected by them. Not only that, you have to admit your mistake and learn from the corrections. You need to understand that the correction is for your own good.

This particular verse also reminds you and me to be disciplined in learning the Bible. By reading the Bible you will get new knowledge every single day. You will be instructed to do good things and will be corrected when you are wrong. Never stop learning about God through the Bible, Kids!

Prayer

Dear God, I am humbly eager to learn about You through the Bible or through my parents and teachers. I am ready to be corrected when I am wrong. Amen.
