The Beauty of Grandchildren

Proverbs 17:6

Grandchildren are the crown of old men, and the glory of sons is their fathers.

Grandparents are your parents’ parents. Some of you might have seen them since you were a baby. Some might have not met them as they had already passed on. Regardless of it, you surely must have heard a lot of stories about your grandparents from your parents! You must have heard of their legacy. 

You and I are the crown of our grandparents. A crown is a symbol of honor and reward. Grandchildren are to rise up and honor their grandparents. As they are much older than us, they deserve our respect. There are many things we can learn from them. Spend some time to listen to their wisdom of life. 

Just like what is written in God’s commandment, let’s honour them by spending time with them, listening to them, praying for them and talking to them nicely. Let’s crown our grandparents and parents with our love and care for them. Follow their good and righteous examples in life. They will be proud of you.

Dear God, I am such a blessed grandchild and I will honour my grandparents and parents. Amen.
