Warning! Deadly Vipers: Avoiding Dangerous FriendshipsSample
Words can be a super powerful thing. Words can bring joy and peace but they can also bring harm and destruction. Have you ever had a friend use his/her words to hurt you? What was that experience like and how did it affect your friendship? Many friendships have been destroyed and ended because people used their words to hurt and bring pain. Has there ever been a friend you’ve hurt with the words you said either to them or about them? As Christians, our words should reflect Jesus and we should be friends others can count on.
Challenge: Today we challenge you to make it right with a friend you’ve hurt. Call or text that person and apologize for what you said and ask how you can make it right. Then choose to use words that bring love to others and avoid using words that cause pain.

About this Plan
It can be hard to tell the difference between good friendships and unhealthy ones. True friends positively encourage us and stand by our side through life’s ups and downs. Unhealthy friendships can negatively influence us and can cause us untold hurt in the process. This month, we’ll talk about how to navigate friendships and recognize the differences between good ones and poisonous ones.
