Warning! Deadly Vipers: Avoiding Dangerous FriendshipsSample
How would you define the word loyal? What qualities would you find in a friend who you would consider as loyal? When I think of a loyal friend I think of a friend who is there for me no matter what is happening in my life. This type of friend would be there for me on my good days but would also be there for me on my bad days. I would also describe this friend as someone I can truly be myself around and I know that this person won’t judge me for who I am and who I am not. I think we can all agree that we want loyal friends but sometimes we have friends in our lives who struggle to be loyal. We should regularly take time to evaluate our friendships and make sure that our friend choices are the right friend choices. Having loyal friends is super important and we want you to always have friends in your life who will be there for you when you need them.
Challenge: Today we challenge you to do a friend audit. Take some time to think about your closest friends. Are they the right friends for you? Can you describe them as loyal friends who are there for you or are they friends who want you to be there for them but they are not there for you? After you evaluate your friendships take some time to thank your loyal friends for their friendship. If you have friends who aren’t loyal have a conversation with them and work on ways to change your relationship. If they are unwilling to change consider spending less time with them.

About this Plan
It can be hard to tell the difference between good friendships and unhealthy ones. True friends positively encourage us and stand by our side through life’s ups and downs. Unhealthy friendships can negatively influence us and can cause us untold hurt in the process. This month, we’ll talk about how to navigate friendships and recognize the differences between good ones and poisonous ones.
