Warning! Deadly Vipers: Avoiding Dangerous FriendshipsSample
This passage is filled with some pretty challenging ways to love others. Paul wants us to understand that when we choose to trust in Jesus our actions should reflect that decision. Take some time to reread the passage and be honest with yourself. What areas are you typically good at doing? Some of you may be very good at working hard while others of you may be good at praying consistently. Whatever it is for you, I want to challenge you to keep on doing those things. I also want you to be honest with yourself and identify areas where you struggle to consistently do it. Write those areas down somewhere and take some time to talk to God.
Challenge: Today we challenge you to choose one area from the passage that you struggle to do and then take some time practicing doing that thing correctly. For example, if you struggle with patience then we want you to practice being more patient with others. Make sure you pray daily about this and ask God to help you love others in your life.

About this Plan
It can be hard to tell the difference between good friendships and unhealthy ones. True friends positively encourage us and stand by our side through life’s ups and downs. Unhealthy friendships can negatively influence us and can cause us untold hurt in the process. This month, we’ll talk about how to navigate friendships and recognize the differences between good ones and poisonous ones.
