30 Day Challenge: A Walk Through ProverbsSample
Day Fifteen
Read Proverbs 15
Have you ever heard the phrase, “Less is more”? There are many portions of Scripture that show this to be true, today’s passage included. The idea is pretty much the opposite of what the world feeds us, telling us that bigger is better. When we think about God in His goodness, however, we see that He uses the little that we have in big ways.
Reflect
Look back at verse 16. What does it say about fear of the LORD?
Matthew talks about a similar concept: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:26). When we have God, even if we have little here on earth, we have everything we could possibly need because Jesus has saved us.
Engage
What are the things you want in life?
In what ways may you need less in your life?
An Extra Mile
Make a list of the goals and things you want in life. Compare and contrast that list to what Proverbs 15:16 says. Are there things you need to give over to God? Will you let Him fill you?
Check out “You’re the Only One” by Chris Renzema for a song about today’s concept.

About this Plan
Oftentimes life looks like an open road and we aren’t sure which way it will turn. Other times, we feel like we are in control of where we are heading—no need to stop for directions. As believers, we must make sure that our GPS is programmed to the Word. God is our ultimate guide through the journey; He is the Creator of the road itself.
