Week Five - Day Three - God Will Provide

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to dig into what this means over the next few weeks, as we look at different people in the Bible who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious gold inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘A Net Full of Fish’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 462-465) or in John 21:1-14.

Jesus told the disciples to throw their net on the other side of the boat. And they did. They probably thought it was a bit silly, as they had already been fishing all night, but they did it anyway.

They listened to Him as soon as He told them to do something! We have to listen to our parents or our teachers straight away, don’t we? Well, with God it’s even more important to do what He says! He always knows what’s best for us, even if it doesn’t make sense or seems silly. 

ASK:

Do you listen straight away when God tells you to do something? 

God has given us our families and teachers to help us - do you listen to them too? 

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.

What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
