 Week Three - Day Five - Even Though I am Young

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to dig into what this means over the next few weeks, as we look at different people in the Bible who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious gold inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘Boy King Josiah’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 235-239) or in 2 Kings 22:1-23:3.

The people that were mending the Temple found a special scroll hidden in the wall. 

Written on the scroll was the Book of the Law. King Josiah called all the people together and read God’s laws to them. 

Josiah knew that God’s law was very important and by sharing what was written on the scroll all the people would know about how God wants them to live. 

It’s a bit like the Bible for us, it tells us about how much God loves us and how He wants us to live. 

ASK:

Who do you know that you want to tell about how much God loves them? 

Remember you can always tell others about how much God loves them! 

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.

What you have done is wonderful.  I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
