 Week Four - Day One - Born for Such a Time as This

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to search for treasure in the Bible over the next few weeks, as we look at different people who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious treasure inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘The Brave Queen’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 240-246) or in Esther 1-10. 

Esther was Jewish. She lived in Persia with her cousin Mordecai. Her and her family were Israelites. They loved God and worshipped Him! 

God had a very special plan for Esther. She was born for a very special purpose! 

Just like Esther, you have a special plan and purpose too. 

You are born for such a time as this! 

ASK:

Can you think of something special in your life that could be part of God’s plan? 

Maybe you got to make friends with someone you would never have met if you were in a different school or club, or maybe you joined church because you bumped into someone in the supermarket. God often moves in tiny details as well as big things! 

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.

What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
