There's Hope For TodaySample
To whom can you compare Him?
History cannot offer a single name. Empires have risen and fallen; great in their splendor and silent in their graves. Babylon forgotten, Aztecs erased, Mongols, Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans – gone. The Iron Curtain is rusted and trampled. Lenin’s communism gasps for air in the grip of modern tyrants. Great philosophies are withered for lack of truth. Finding no god in the heavens, men search for gods in themselves. The tragic result is a lost man who thinks he is found.
Our sciences are morally bankrupt, our ethical foundations are gravel and dust, our constitution is pinned down in legal gridlock, the arts have become perverse even as perversions have become trendy. The great leaders of old are all dead, and no one scans the horizon for another hero. What meaning can we find in our grand monuments and well-chosen words? We don’t believe in those things anymore. If we say we do, our actions betray our hypocrisy. I have lived my formative years amidst the chaos of a secular revolution. Yet there is One that will not be moved or shaken.
When all else is dust – He remains. My Redeemer, my hope, my Lord and my God … Jesus: Savior of the world.
