There's Hope For Today

DAY 154 OF 366

BISHOPVILLE, MARYLAND: Julie Turpin is a missionary to the eighth grade. She heard of the Book of Hope and thought it might provide a good opportunity to share Christ with her friends. Julie raised funds to purchase a full case of Campus Packs.

We are often limited in distributions of the Book of Hope here at home, but Julie has complete freedom. She has already won five friends to Christ, and plans to distribute the rest of her Campus Packs by year’s end.

Through the years I’ve seen, first hand, the stunning results when the seed of God’s written Word is planted. Discarded books have been found in ditches and trash bins. What some cast aside, others found in dark moments of the soul. Some might call it chance; we call it miraculous. Stolen books, resold on the black market in Russia, have proven the power of the Word.

In a diversity of cultures, the effect of God’s Word has been uniform and life-changing. It really doesn’t matter whether it’s given by a church worker in Brazil, a OneHope volunteer in Ukraine, or an eighth-grader in Maryland – the Word of God changes people.

Help us shake our world!
