There's Hope For TodaySample
He was born a slave and raised a prince, walking in two worlds. A Hebrew woman gave him life, but an Egyptian princess game him a name: Moses. His birth mother linked him to his true identity and calling.
Pharaoh’s daughter gave him the education and position to make his calling possible.
From an early age he understood his mission. His miraculous rescue and placement in the house of Pharaoh were sure signs of destiny. From the bulrushes of the Nile to the household of Rameses II; a slave disguised as a prince. He waited for that moment when he would step out from behind the royal curtain to break the yoke of slavery from the necks of his kinsmen. He would lead his people back to the land promised to Father Abraham.
Who could have scripted such a story except God? The whole set-up was perfect. But Moses made a fundamental blunder. He tried to do God’s will his way. He acted on the assumption that God would follow his lead. He carried off a sloppy murder. Within a few days, everybody knew the story. Moses took the only option available – he ran.
When the pressure is on, you need more prayer and more Bible. Disaster lurks behind false assumptions.
