There's Hope For TodaySample
Life is measured by its length, breadth, depth, and finally – height. Have you any stature, or are you a spiritual pygmy?
Pygmy babies are born of normal size and weight, but in early childhood something in the genetic code interrupts their growth. The analogy is all too clear among the Christian populace. Where we should be standing tall, we are laying low. Where we should be looking ahead, we are looking around. Where we should be strong, we are weak.
The disadvantage to vertically challenged Christians is great. They cannot see things from a lofty perspective. Rather than soaring with eagles, they strut among the turkeys. They fail to see both opportunity and obstacle. Without a clear look at the horizon, they wander indecisive pathways. Without warning, they are always in a state of surprise, even consternation.
Christians must get up, and lift up, and look up, but above all, they must grow up. Like a fifteen-year-old boy with a big body to grow into, we are called to grow in Christ. Our potential cannot be measured by human factors; it must be measured by God’s divine plan. Perilous times are upon us requiring men and women of stature. Stand firm, stand strong, stand together, and stand tall.
