Great Adventurers (Week 4)Sample
Day Six - God’s Way is Best
Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional! We are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.
God has taken Jonah on an amazing journey of learning to trust God and that God would always be with him!
READ:
'Jonah and the Big Fish' in the Beginners Bible (pages 257-264) or Jonah 1-3:10
Jonah may have thought that the people of Nineveh would never change, or that he would never get out of the big fish, but with God all things are possible.
Jonah is a Great Adventurer. He took the message, that God gave him, to Nineveh. He finally understood that God’s Way is Best!
Sometimes we may look at what other people are doing and think that it is the best way!
Maybe we compare ourselves to others and think that we are not good enough because we are not like other people or doing things like others are doing them.
God made you. He knows you and loves you because you are YOU! He wants you to know how wonderful you are and how much He loves you!
ASK:
Think about all the wonderful things that make you, YOU!
Get creative today. Make a model or painting of you. Then, celebrate YOU!
Don't forget to ask your grownups to take a photo of you and share it with us on Facebook and Instagram.
REMEMBER:
‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)
SAY:
I’m an adventurer.
I am bold. I am strong with the word of the Lord.
I will follow wherever you lead.
I won’t stop. I’ve been set free.
In Jesus name, Amen!
About this Plan
In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Jonah and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
