CONCRETE & CRANES: A 7-Day Devotional for KidsSample
Day 3 - God’s Plans
When we pray to God, we should remember a few important things. We know that God is our heavenly Father. We can also know that His will or His plans for heaven and earth are perfect because God knows everything that will happen.
When you begin something new like the first practice for a new sport or registering at a new school, does it make you nervous? Does it feel like you are about to do something you know nothing about? Does it help to have an adult who knows what to do who will go with you? God knows everything. He knows the future. He knows we have to make it through the “first day” of school or practice before we are comfortable or even enjoy what we do. God is with us. God helps us do the things we need to.
PERSONAL BLUEPRINT
Draw a picture or write about a time you felt nervous or even excited in your journal.
PRAY
What did you draw or write about in “Personal Blueprint”? Pray that God would be with you in that situation. Thank Him that you can trust His plans for you.

About this Plan
When I think about the kids in my life, both in my family and at my church, I pray that each of them will discover the strong foundation of love that Jesus is. This 7-day devotional specifically focuses on prayer, a huge part of the framework of our faith. This excerpt is part of the book Concrete and Cranes: 100 Devotions Building on the Love of Jesus.
