COVID-19 Novel Encouragement Sample
My God, My Healer
God is a God who heals. My God is a healer. My God can heal me of all sickness by his power and sovereign will because my God wants me to be healthy in all aspects. Let’s read 3 John 1:2 and let’s sing: “I am the God who heals you … and I provide you with my word to heal all your sickness …”
The name “God the Healer” describes a God who takes care of us. This name is an invitation and a call for us. God revealed himself to Moses and all the children of Israel as the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). The name “Holy God” gives the impression of a God who is transcendent, perfect and inaccessible, however, “God the Healer” is concerned about our conditions. He heals us when we are attacked by any health issue. King David knew, experienced, and testified of the powerful God who heals all sicknesses (Psalm 103:3).
Jesus Christ, the son of God, our Redeemer, healed and made healing an important part of His ministry during His life on earth, Jesus went from town to town preaching the Good News and healing all the sick who were sent to him (Luke 4:40, 5:17 and Acts 10:38).
Today again God presents himself to us, just like in Israel, as the God who can heal individuals who are sick, as the God who can heal an entire family or a whole nation (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Today we can still experience the powerful healing of God through faith in his Word and in the name of Jesus Christ. We can have faith and pray for our own healing or the healing of the person God puts on our path.
Let’s meditate on Jeremiah 17:14-15, James 5:16 and Psalm 107:20.
Let us sing and pray: “I believe in Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God…here in the midst of us, mighty enough to heal me…”
Let’s pray for healing and forgiveness of all sin that is present in our souls or heart. and let’s receive healing and cleansing of all sin in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let’s pray for the healing and restoration of all emotional scars that may be linked to our past, particularly from our family issues, our identity, our self-esteem, painful memories, or a toxic relationship that may have destroyed our life. Let’s pray for healing from anger, bitterness, frustrations, anxieties, regrets, and emotional or physical suffering caused by the Coronavirus.
Let us declare and proclaim, pray with faith now and today for all sickness, praying in faith in our God, our Healer who is here to heal us. Let us pray and receive healing through faith in the Word of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us live our healing and be healthy in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
Let us sing and pray, “There is healing, healing, wonder-working healing in the precious blood of the Lamb!”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, you are the only one that holds power over life and death, so we put all of our trust in you now for every breath. Through the blood of Jesus, heal our bodies and our souls that we may walk with you for eternity.
