COVID-19 Novel Encouragement Sample
Faithful Scriptures
The Bible is the authority for all truth and is one of the primary ways God communicates with us. Yesterday, we explored God’s faithfulness, and today we’d like to invite you to take some time to explore many Scriptures that highlight how He has been faithful throughout the generations.
The Bible records in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that we ought to walk by faith and not by sight. Despite the evolving and unstable seasons that life brings, we should put our trust in God and not our own strength, for God’s faithfulness remains steadfast.
God’s track record of faithfulness is evident throughout the Bible. He was faithful to Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 21:1-7); to the descendants of Esau (Genesis 36:40-43); to Moses and the Israelites (Exodus 19:5); to Isaiah and other prophets about the coming of the Messiah (Isaiah 9:6-7).
There are many wonderful Scriptures that reveal God’s faithfulness in many areas of our lives, but what stands out most is His faithfulness to forgive our iniquities (Micah 7:18-19; Romans 11:25-27; 1 John 1:9).
As Christians, we need to commit ourselves to study the Word of God and trusting Him for all His promises to us. Are you going through any hardship? Trust God in all your ways because He is faithful in keeping His word. In Jeremiah 1:12, God says: “for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”
Below are Scriptures that highlight the faithfulness of God. Please read each one slowly. As you read, pray and ask the Lord to make the truth of the passage real to you.
Know, recognize, and understand therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9 AMP
For the word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness. Psalm 33:4 AMP
[Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. Psalm 91:4, AMP
Your faithfulness is from generation to generation; You have established the earth, and it stands fast. Psalm 119:90 AMP
It is because of the Lord's mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 AMP
God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9 AMP
So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgment of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. Hebrews 10:23 AMP
Yet the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] and set you on a firm foundation and guard you from the evil [one]. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 AMP
Prayer: Oh Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You Lord that You are a God who keeps His word. Help me grow in my reading of Your Word, and strengthen my faith in Your promises.
