GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 4 – CARESample
March 27 – By Having Tender Hearts
Read
Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:12–14
Reflect
Caring for others can be hard. Some people are difficult to love. Some are ungrateful even when we offer our best. They may even malign us, casting aspersions on our efforts. In times like these it is easy to take offense and not serve well. Paul understood this. He instructs to be tenderhearted, to be kind and compassionate. Is there someone who has hurt, disappointed, or upset you? Will you offer love and forgiveness even as God has forgiven you?
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing these truths?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Psalm 100:2. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan
Is it possible to help others in such a way that it pushes them further from Christ rather than draws them toward him? When we serve others, we are actually serving God, and we are commanded to serve God with gladness (Psalm 100:2). Let’s look to God’s Word to better understand how we should care for and serve others.
