Book of Isaiah

DAY 7 OF 22

STEADINESS BRINGS BLESSINGS

Satan cannot take away or seize God's blessings from us when we are under the authority of Christ and obey the Word of God. Satan can only steal our peace when we let him accuse us or when we are disobedient and do things against the Word of God. We must be most alert in the midst of the storms of life that strike us.

When we choose to obey God, He is faithful to His Word and He will take care of us. "Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea." (Isaiah 48:18 KJV). Our obedience to God will produce peace like a river that continues to flow quickly and smoothly.

When we allow God's peace to reign in our hearts, then we should not allow fear to enter. His peace will drive the spirit of fear  away. Often, the trouble and distress that occupy our hearts and minds are only our imagination. The Lord will preserve us in His perfect peace as we keep our minds on Him.

The key is, in any circumstance we need to have a close and intimate relationship with God. As we meditate on His Word day and night, when we suddenly face a difficult situation we will be able to respond calmly.

Constancy brings a blessing, but unfaithfulness brings suffering.
