Lent: Remembering the Life of JesusSample
Holy Week: Jesus Clears the Temple
Bible Reading: Matthew 21:12-17; Mark 11:12-19; Luke 19:45-48
Further Study
- What made Jesus angry when he went into the Temple?
- What did Jesus do after His anger subsided?
- Why were the religious leaders indignant?
Reflect
- Worship: Write down one attribute of God and worship Him for who He is.
- Prayer: Pray for your church leaders and your neighbors.
- Remembrance: Think about how Jesus must have felt when He arrived at the Temple. Do you ever have righteous anger? Write about that.
- Self-Examination: Do you find yourself getting angry often? How do you keep from letting anger overwhelm you?
A Kind Act
- Ask someone how they are really doing and then listen without offering advice.
About this Plan
The season of Lent is a period leading up to Easter Sunday. It’s a time of reflection on Christ’s life, from His birth to His death. There’s a daily reflection piece for each of the 47 days of this Plan. We encourage you to get a small journal to write your thoughts down. Begin this Plan on Ash Wednesday, and your final day will be on Easter Sunday.
