Lent: Remembering the Life of JesusSample
Peter Says Jesus Is the Messiah
Bible Reading: Matthew 16:13-20; Mark 8:27-30
Further Study
- Who did the people think Jesus was?
- What disciple was the first to say who Jesus really was?
- Why do you think Jesus didn’t want anyone to know He was the Messiah?
Reflect
- Worship: Write down one attribute of God and worship Him for who He is.
- Prayer: Pray for your closest friends.
- Remembrance: Think about Jesus’s life on earth and the people who didn’t believe he was the Messiah. Consider what stance you would have taken had you been alive then.
- Self-Examination: Has there been a time when you’ve questioned your faith in Jesus? Write about that.
A Kind Act
- Let someone go ahead of you in line at the store or while driving on the road.

About this Plan
The season of Lent is a period leading up to Easter Sunday. It’s a time of reflection on Christ’s life, from His birth to His death. There’s a daily reflection piece for each of the 47 days of this Plan. We encourage you to get a small journal to write your thoughts down. Begin this Plan on Ash Wednesday, and your final day will be on Easter Sunday.
