Help Us by Your Prayers
2 Corinthians 1:10-11
“He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”
Our prayers influence God’s intervention and deliverance of others! Living on mission with Jesus requires that we occasionally face deadly peril. The enemy of our souls is plotting our demise; however, God’s protection through his intervention carries us. God’s grace extends to our lives as we humble ourselves; there is no greater expression of humility than a life of prayer. Prayer acknowledges our need of God, not only for protection, but for relationship. Our hope is in God, not in ourselves. We set our hope in God as we live in constant communion with him. Prayer extends the scope of ministry to all who are in the body of Christ. We can all support the mission of Christ’s body in prayer.
Lord Jesus, you are my hope! Thank you for delivering our children from deadly peril and for answering prayer.
