Worship and Surrender
Deuteronomy 32:3-4
“I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.”
Moses knew God. Moses knew the love, mercy and faithfulness as well as the justice, wrath and anger of God. Like no other person on earth, Moses witnessed the awesome greatness of God. Yet despite this intimacy, despite this relationship, Moses could do nothing to change God’s decision that he would not enter the Promised Land. God’s judgment of Moses’ sin was final. Rather than pout or feel self-pity, Moses ended his life and leadership journey in worship of God. He declared that God’s ways are just; that he is a faithful God who does no wrong. Moses’ life was fully surrendered to the will of God, even though the cost to him was great.
Will we also fully surrender our hopes, dreams, plans and future to God? – Regardless of the cost?
Lord Jesus, my life and all you have given me and called me to are in your hands. I am yours. I worship you and trust you with the future, for your glory.
