Listening To The Word - 1 YearSample
Prayer of Moses
Psalm 90:12, 14, 16-17
“Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom…Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love…May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor [beauty] of the Lord rest upon us – yes, establish the work of our hands.”
In Psalm 90, Moses gives us a number of keys to a fulfilled life. The following is my prayer:
1) Live in the light of eternity. This is the key to wisdom. Life is short. Live fully surrendered to Christ with no regrets.
2) Be satisfied each day by God’s unfailing love, rather than by the status of the world, success or approval or others.
3) Live for God’s work, rather than our own; God’s deeds, rather than our deeds.
4) Recognize the beauty of the Lord in one another, and seek his favor above all others.
5) It is God who establishes our work so that the fruit of our lives is lasting fruit.
