I Am With You
Jeremiah 1:7-8
“But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.”
The call of God fills us with purpose, direction and faith. When ministry becomes a job and we either forget our call from God, or we doubt that call, we become fearful and lose our way. God promises to both guide and empower those he calls. The divine unction of God gives our words a transformational impact that no other form of speech carries. When God is for us, who can be against us? The voice of the Lord and his counsel are an essential reference point for every servant of God.
Lord Jesus, you are my Shepherd. My ears are open to your counsel and direction – for your glory.
