"Active Waiting"

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave the disciples clear instruction to wait for the Holy Spirit. But they didn’t just sit around and do nothing. No, the disciples met together and prayed while waiting for the Holy Spirit. Those two elements - hanging out together and praying - are the ingredients to a powerful waiting time.

Waiting is not a passive activity. It's not just sitting there waiting for things to happen or indulging in wishful thinking. Waiting can be fruitful if we do it right.

We need to stay active by praying. We pray because God - the God of the universe - is in control of the situation. More so, we pray together because there is power in collective prayer. The Bible tells us that when two or three are gathered in His name, He is in our presence (Matthew 18:20).

God is doing great things in your campus that will be obvious in His time. Don’t be idle while you’re waiting. Stay active. Stay connected. Stay in prayer. Your powerful breakthrough will come.

Ask God to reveal to you that things you need pray for in your campus. Gather with your members in the campus and build up one another in prayer. Be accountable with one another in prayer.
