"Crazy Generosity" READY The early church already had so many radical experiences - the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in new tongues, miraculous healing, thousands being discipled, and more. And now we see another mind-boggling one. The church was generous at a totally unheard-of level. Their faith in God and love for one another produced a community where people were willing to sacrifice for one another. They helped each other, even as they preached the Gospel. Their message wasn’t all about words and ideas. But it was backed up by loving sacrifice. The community was so generous that the Bible says there was no needy person among them. God provided for all of their needs and He used other people to do it. As disciples of Christ, being generous to one another should also be seen in us. We may not have to give all our allowances to the point that we have nothing left. The point is the unity that we have is more important than the things we have. Imagine a community where members are giving to one another. That would be a sight to behold. We have experienced Jesus' generous love for us. It's time we share it with our brothers and sisters. SET Is it easy for you to show generousity to your spiritual family? If not, why do you think you're having a hard time showing it? GO Generosity is like a muscle. If it's never used, it becomes weak and it hurts to be generous. But as we use it, we become stronger and it becomes easier. Give to someone in need in your campus team.
