Go: A 40-Day Journey To The Never ReachedSample
Not the Dream Team
Christians go together, yet we were alone. Here, in our spiritually dark South East Asian nation, we trusted the Father for teammates.
Subconsciously, we expected them to look like us. God brought together a better team, including Mai, a pastor from the local underground church.
We’re challenged by Mai’s bold faith. She taught us how, in this closed country, to boldly share Jesus. We partner to bring healthcare and scholarships to poor families. We pray together for students, leaders, teachers, and doctors.
Working together brings challenges but also great benefit. Once, when government officials were being difficult, we felt like pushing back. Mai taught us the culturally appropriate response. By listening to the ministry partner God gave us, the conflict was resolved, favor was gained.
If God had built the team we wanted, our success would be limited. We needed Mai, we needed to work together.
Proverbs 14:4 (NLT) says, “Without oxen a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest.” We long for a massive harvest among never-reached people here. Occasionally, we’ll have to clear out the mess created by going together. But we’ll humble ourselves, learn from our teammates, and clean out the stable. It’s worth it.
“As the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb” (Matthew 28:1 NLT).
God joined together an unlikely group at the tomb; Jesus’ aunt, a former demonic and the wife of one of Herod’s officials. Together they went to the tomb, together they experienced history’s greatest miracle!
As we engage the never-reached, we trust the Father to knit us together with those he chooses. We’ll join his team and be sanctified through working together.
One day, we, like Mary and the others, will say, “Come see! Resurrection power has come to this place!”
Go Together
Almost every human fault or weakness is the flip side of a gift or strength (stubbornness and determination, for instance). When a co-worker or associate annoys you or their habits or way of thinking conflict with yours, consider what strength that represents that you might be overlooking. Find the strength and you’ll see what God might see in them.

Ask God to arrange for Lao Pong individuals to have divine appointments with Christ followers, wherever they may go.
About this Plan
Jesus walked on this earth for exactly 40 days after his resurrection. During those 40-days, one word resounds: GO. Dive into the stories and perspectives of people who love the Never Reached as they unpack why Jesus’ words mandate all Christ-followers to Go.
