Come, Let's Go! Discipleship In Evangelism

DAY 2 OF 7

MEMORIZE MATTHEW 24:14

"And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

COME AND SEE

The bible says we should follow others as they follow Christ. It's all about imitating the design of God set in place by the designer God. As believers, we follow the model he set in place by walking as Jesus did.  Jesus invited his disciples to come and see how he lived, where he was staying, and how he did ministry. His invitation gave his followers insight on how to be faithful and fruitful.

In order to bear fruit, we need to abide in Christ.

In order to do, we need to first be.

And if we are, we must then do.

It's taking the time to wait and hear from God, and then right away doing His will, His way. You were made for this. You were designed to make a difference. You were made to multiply. The best way to make a difference is to make disciples. This is something every believer in Jesus Christ can and should do. Why not COME AND SEE where Jesus is staying and spend the day with him like John's disciples did? See how Jesus does it. Then go do it like He did it. John's disciples went out and began to spread the news right away after spending their first day with Jesus.

You are reading this right now because two people decided to listen and obey Jesus. The first stream of disciple-making disciples started to MULTIPLY on day one. Jesus said, "COME AND SEE.” They came, they saw, and they went out to "GO AND TELL" just like Jesus. Jesus did not say, "COME AND SIT." Jesus turned these fishermen into fishers of people right away. While their hands still smelled like fish these men went out to "GO AND TELL" right after Jesus said, "COME AND SEE." The disciples didn't have it all together yet. They had just spent one day with Jesus, but everything was different.

GO AND MAKE

The Great Commission is not the great suggestion. We either do what Jesus said or we disobey. Multiplying disciples is as simple as show and tell. Show people how you do it, and then tell them that they can do it too.

Go to them, baptize them, and teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded. You simply pass on to others what has been passed onto you. Don't just teach them to know more stuff. Take the time to teach them how to do the stuff. Jesus spent about a little over three years pouring into twelve guys teaching as they went.

Let's be a bunch of ordinary people who spend time with Jesus. Love God, Love Others, and Multiply Disciples that do the same. What are you waiting for? Go make multiplying disciples! Come, Let's Go!

COME LET'S GO TRAINING TIP

Duckling Discipleship- We are always following and always leading

We don't have to know everything before we start sharing.  We can all learn simple steps to multiply disciples. The first disciples knew exactly what to do because they watched Jesus do it first and He equipped them to pass it on right away.

How long does it take for a candle to give off light once it is lit? It can start to SHINE right away. You do not have to go away to candle school to learn how to do what you were designed for and made to do.  Jesus told his disciples that they "ARE" the light of the world. He did not say, "you will be," or "you can be" the light of the world. He said, "YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD." This was in Matthew chapter 5 right from the very beginning. Be a lit candle and let your light shine!

Show someone else and tell them that they can "COME AND SEE" how to "GO AND MAKE" multiplying disciples. They can go and tell others to do the same right away. COME, LET'S GO!

About this Plan

Come, Let's Go! Discipleship In Evangelism

Three times in I Samuel, Jonathan said to his young armor bearer, "Come, Let's Go!" Three times in Revelation 22 Jesus said, "I'm coming soon!" It's been more than 2,000 years since Jesus made this promise. Jesus gave the church a simple job to do. It's called the Great Commission. So church, why hasn't Jesus COME back yet? We need discipleship in evangelism! COME, LET'S GO!
