Come, Let's Go! Discipleship In EvangelismSample
MEMORIZE MATTHEW 24:14
"And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
HOW TO START A MOVEMENT
Instead of living by faith, God's chosen people were living in fear. With only two swords left in the Kingdom, God's chosen people cowered under rocks rather than living in the promised land. Unlike their fellow soldiers who only spoke about what they needed to do to receive God's blessing in battle, Jonathan and his young armor-bearer took action. Three times in 1 Samuel 14, Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, "Come, Let's Go!"
These two people sparked a movement by trusting that God would work through their simple faith. They heard from God, and then they did what God said.
The courage of these two spoke volumes. As the King and the remaining soldiers took notice, they took part in the movement that had begun. The rest of the people came out from under the rocks, they also joined the movement, and God saved Israel that day.
By obeying what they heard from God, they were saved. God worked through the faithful obedience of His people.
TRAINING TIP
Look for and launch a "Person of Peace"
Jesus called his disciples to look for and invest in a "Person of Peace," or a "Jonathan."
Jonathan took action after hearing from God just like to a "Person of Peace." Finding and investing in a Jonathan, is central to the multiplication of a movement. These next few passages highlight Jesus pursuing and enabling some of his most unexpected "Jonathans."
About this Plan
Three times in I Samuel, Jonathan said to his young armor bearer, "Come, Let's Go!" Three times in Revelation 22 Jesus said, "I'm coming soon!" It's been more than 2,000 years since Jesus made this promise. Jesus gave the church a simple job to do. It's called the Great Commission. So church, why hasn't Jesus COME back yet? We need discipleship in evangelism! COME, LET'S GO!
