Daily Prayer: Lord, teach me to worship in spirit and in truth.
Daily Practice: In the gospel of John, Jesus says, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” True worship does not equal going to church on Sunday. We worship with our lives—how we spend our time, our money, how we care for others, and where we put our thoughts. As you go about your day today, consider how your interaction with others, your thoughts, and how you spend your time and money can be acts of worship. Often we find that we are at the center of our lives. Our focus and adoration, by default, gets directed to self. Be intentional today to turn your adoration and gratitude to Jesus.
