'Coronation (Come and See)' Devotional

DAY 10 OF 10

Purpose

“What is a wave without the ocean? What is light without the sun? What is life without purpose?” - ‘Purpose’ by Calvary Worship

Life is full of questions. For many people, right at the top of the list are the questions, “Why am I here? What am I on this earth to achieve?” Most people agree there is more to life than meets the eye. Surely being here on this earth is no accident. Right? But what does that mean for me?

What is my purpose?

People spend their entire lives chasing the answer to this question. Seeking fulfilment wherever they think it might be hiding and answers where they often cannot be found. No amount of money, no career and no social circle really and truly helps us to achieve a sense of true purpose.

We all want it. Everyone wants to feel a part of something, and everyone wants direction for their lives. So, to what, or to where, or to whom do we turn to find our purpose?

The answer to all those questions, of course, is singular. His name is Jesus.

Have you ever watched someone pack up their lives and move from city to city, desperately chasing direction they hope a change of scenery will provide? It is amazing how life is largely the same everywhere we go. The same, that is, until Jesus enters our hearts.

Our design, our future, and all our hopes and dreams, rest in the hands of a God who loves us unconditionally. It is this unwavering love that fulfils us and provides us with direction. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. It is God’s plan to prosper us. His plan to give us hope and a future. There is no greater confidence that can be found than that.

Chase purpose and maybe you will find Jesus.
Chase Jesus and I guarantee you will find your purpose.

About this Plan

'Coronation (Come and See)' Devotional

On Good Friday, the executioners tormented Jesus with a crown of thorns, a robe and a staff, feigning worship in a mock ceremony. In the upside-down Kingdom, what was intended to cut Jesus down, merely reflected what was really taking place: Christ’s Coronation Ceremony as the King of Kings. Come and explore the scriptures and heartbeat of CalvaryWorship.Global’s new album, ‘Coronation (Come & See)’ in this 10-day devotional.
